During the past winter, a new section of the Pedemontana cycle path (FVG 3) was opened to the cyclists in the municipality of Tarcento

The new section continues the cycle route signed as "FVG 3" already built in the municipality of Magnano in Riviera and allows bikers to cross almost the entire municipal territory of the town by pedaling on newly created dedicated cycle paths.

The new route is almost 4.5 km long and offers cyclists some suggestive passages such as the stretch that runs alongside the wood that extends over the Segnacco hill.

In this stretch some signs have also been positioned which describe the botanical peculiarities of the vegetation of these hills.

Currently the cycle route ends at the village of Molinis. From here you can continue on the Pedemontana cycle route (FVG 3) by crossing the bridge over the Torre stream and continuing to pedal up to Nimis on the sometimes busy Regional Road SR356.

However, the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region has plans to continue the route of the cycle path also in this section by creating a dedicated cycle path that will run alongside the course of the stream.
