The road service of the Province of Udine has announced that work will soon begin on completing the southernmost part of the Alpe Adria cycle path. Currently, the cycle path starts in Palmanova and ends in the town of Muscoli.

Our staff has carried out an inspection of the section of the Alpe Adria cycle path between the border crossing with Austria and Pontebba. Many sections are practically ready: from Pontebba to Malborghetto, from Val Saisera to Camporosso and from Coccau to the Austrian border, the route has been completely asphalted and the horizontal signs have already been made.
The work for the construction of the most suggestive section of the Alpe Adria cycle path (between Pontebba and Moggio Udinese) seems to be proceeding rapidly. Along this stretch the cycle path should fully follow the spectacular route of the old Pontebbana railway. The railway site has been cleared of vegetation and numerous bridges and tunnels have been made safe.
